James Early is a current MA student in Theatre and Performance Studies. He holds a BA in Theatre Education, as well as a minor in English Literature from the University of Montana. For many years, James toured with the Missoula Children's Theatre and spent the last few years in the Roaring Fork Valley teaching theatre with Theatre Aspen and the Aspen School District. His time as an educator helped shape and push him to switch roles and become a student again. His focus is on contemporary theatre and the intersection of different critical theories through dramaturgy and directing.
